Key Features of Polypropylene (PP) Filter Plates

01Physical Properties: Non-toxic, tasteless, and highly crystalline. Exceptional water stability with a 14h water absorption rate of only 0.01%.

02Mechanical Performance: High crystallinity provides excellent strength, hardness, and elasticity, outperforming high-density PE (HDPE).

03Thermal Resistance: Melting point of 164~170℃. Sterilization can occur above 100℃ without deformation under external force at 150℃.

04Chemical Stability: Highly resistant to various chemical reagents, making it ideal for anti-corrosion applications in chemical infrastructure.

05Electrical Insulation: Excellent high-frequency insulation performance, unaffected by humidity due to near-zero water absorption.

06Weatherability: Enhanced anti-aging properties achieved through specific fillers like carbon black and specialized resins.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What are the main materials used for these filter plates?
The plates are primarily made from modified enhanced polypropylene, but we also offer glass fiber polypropylene, rubber, stainless steel, and cast iron options depending on your industrial application.
Can the PP filter plates withstand high temperatures?
Yes, polypropylene has a melting point between 164~170℃. Our plates can be sterilized at temperatures above 100℃ and remain stable under external forces even at 150℃.
What sizes are available for wastewater treatment?
We offer a wide range of standard sizes from 320x320mm up to 2000x2000mm. Custom sizes for specific chamber volumes can also be discussed.
How do I choose between different feeding styles?
The choice of middle, corner, or upper-middle feeding depends on your slurry characteristics and the design of your filter press. Our technical team can advise on the most efficient flow for your process.
Are these filter plates resistant to chemical corrosion?
Absolutely. Polypropylene is known for its excellent chemical stability. It is resistant to most chemical reagents, except for highly concentrated oxidizing acids like sulfuric or nitric acid.
Do you provide support for selecting the right equipment?
Yes, we provide professional consultation to analyze your requirements and provide detailed technical data to ensure you select the most efficient equipment for your needs.
