The filter press is an intermittent pressure filtration equipment for solid-liquid separation. It consists of a frame, filter plate pack, filter medium (filter cloth or filter paper), pressing system, and electric control cabinet. While operating, the pushing device drives the head plate to press the filter plates and filter cloths between the head plate and end plate. Then the filter chambers are formed among filter plates. Materials pressurized by the pump enter the filter chambers through the feeding port in the end plate. Solid particles are blocked in the filter chamber and form filter cakes, while liquid is discharged out of the machine through filter cloths.
