Product Description

High Capture Rate Belt Filter Press Plate and Frame Type

Dewatering Belt Press Introduction:

This belt press is used for solid & liquid separation processes, particularly sludge dewatering in chemical industries, paper mills, printing and dyeing mills, mining, and water treatment fields.

The dewatering process is primarily obtained by passing a pair of filtering cloths and a belt through a system of rollers. The system takes sludge or slurry as a feed and separates it into a filtrate and a solid cake.

High Capture Rate Belt Filter Press Plate and Frame Type

Dewatering Belt Press Main Features & Advantages:

  • Automatic control and continuous working
  • Low energy cost and long service life
  • High dewatering efficiency and high solid-containing rate of mud cake
  • Easy maintenance and management
  • Low noise and less chemicals required
  • Lower overall maintenance cost
  • Economical, reliable, and wide application range

Work Principle

High Capture Rate Belt Filter Press Plate and Frame Type
  • The Dewatering Belt Press is a Biosolids/sludge dewatering device that applies mechanical pressure to chemically conditioned slurry.
  • The slurry is sandwiched between two tensioned belts by passing them through a serpentine of decreasing diameter rolls. The machine is divided into three zones: a gravity zone, where free-draining water is drained by gravity through a porous belt; a wedge zone, where solids are prepared for pressure application; and a pressure zone, where medium and high pressure is applied to the conditioned solids.
  • Typically, a belt filter press receives a slurry ranging from 1-4% feed solids and produces a final product of 25% cake solids. Performance depends entirely on the nature of the solids being processed.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q1: What industries are best suited for this Dewatering Belt Press?

This equipment is highly suitable for solid-liquid separation and sludge dewatering in chemical plants, paper mills, printing and dyeing factories, mining sites, and municipal water treatment facilities.

Q2: What is the expected dry solids content of the output mud cake?

The outlet sludge dry content typically reaches between 35% and 45%, depending heavily on the baseline characteristics and chemical conditioning of the treated solids.

Q3: How does the continuous automatic working system benefit operations?

Automatic control and continuous operations ensure seamless processing of feed slurry, lowering physical labor requirements, drastically reducing maintenance downtime, and generating highly reliable output.

Q4: What are the three core separation zones in a Dewatering Belt Press?

The machine processes sludge across three key areas: the gravity zone for free-draining water extraction, the wedge zone to prepare concentrated solids for mechanical force, and the high-pressure zone to finalize dewatering.

Q5: What models and capacities are available for selection?

We offer four core models with capacities ranging from 3 to 12 m³/h: QK-YG1000 (3-5 m³/h), QK-YG1500 (5-8 m³/h), QK-YG2000 (6-10 m³/h), and QK-YG2500 (8-12 m³/h).
