This automatic sand washing pressure filter is built to last. The main body is made from high-quality carbon steel, designed and welded for maximum strength. The beams feature a one-piece structure made from strong, hot-rolled steel that is specially treated to prevent warping and then cleaned to a professional standard. The unit features a sandblasting finish, ensuring the surface is highly durable, retains paint exceptionally well, and prevents chipping or pinholing. This process utilizes environmentally conscious paint that limits emissions.
Additionally, the filter plates are constructed from a specialized blend of polypropylene and fiberglass, providing optimal durability and necessary flexibility. They feature a durable rubber diaphragm that remains securely locked in place for long-term usage.
The key components of this plate and frame filter press are the filter plates and frames, arranged alternately to form chambers for processing slurry (a liquid-solid mixture). These plates are constructed using quality polypropylene or stainless steel, while the outer frames can be customized from various plastic or metal compositions.
During operation, the solid-liquid mixture is pumped into the spaces between the plates and frames. Liquid elements pass through the filter cloth and drain away, while solid particles build up on the cloth surface, forming a filter cake. Once the filtration run is complete, the dry filter cake is easily discharged. This modular system is widely used across chemical processing, pharmaceuticals, food industries, and water treatment operations.
The operational cycle begins when the hydraulic system activates to press the plates firmly together. Once secured, the slurry is pumped in. Liquid elements drain through the filter cloth and are collected, while solids accumulate inside to form the cake. When the chambers reach capacity, the pump halts, the system releases pressure, opens, and the dry cake is discharged. The system then resets for the next batch run.
